Seville Holy Week 2026 programme PDF: which one to download, what each contains and what is missing
There are at least six PDF programmes for Seville's Holy Week 2026 and none of them does everything. The Council's is the reference, the city's has the maps, the day-by-day ones are what you carry in your pocket. Which to download depending on what you want to do, and what none of them gives you.
Search for the Seville Holy Week 2026 programme in PDF and you will find half a dozen different documents all called "programa". They are not interchangeable: one is the official source, another has the maps, others are designed for checking a single day on your phone. All of them are in Spanish.
This page compares them by content and by use, says where each publisher puts its file and which earlier editions are still available. Where the publisher gives a stable address, the link goes straight to the file; where it does not, the page names the document and the site so you can find it in seconds.

The list was approved on 15 March 2026 and its PDF was last updated on 9 April 2026, after Holy Week itself: the final version includes the last-minute changes. The day-by-day PDFs on Semana-santa.org were updated between late March and mid-June 2026.
Which one should you download for what you want to do?
- For the official truth: the Council's list. It is the one that wins when two newspapers disagree, as they do over La Borriquita in 2026.
- To find your way around the city: the Visita Sevilla PDF, the only one with maps. Combine it with the map of Seville for distances between neighbourhoods.
- To follow several brotherhoods in one afternoon: that day's page on Semana-santa.org, which gives the passing time in each street, for example "Palos (21:40)" or "Entrada (23:20)".
- To read with background: the ABC programme, with a profile of each brotherhood.
- To carry in your pocket: the Council's pocket programme, or a printed one.
All six agree on the essentials: Holy Week runs from 29 March to 5 April 2026, with the eve days on Viernes de Dolores, 27 March, and Sábado de Pasión, 28 March 2026, and every brotherhood makes its station at the Cathedral, passing along the Carrera Oficial between 16:30 and 22:30. The timetable guide sums up the time slots for each day.
The PDFs come out in mid-March and the beds in the centre are gone by the autumn. The programme helps you choose the day and the street; the hotel you need to have before. In 2025 occupancy in Seville reached 83% on average, 87% from Maundy Thursday to Holy Saturday and a peak of 89.2% on Good Friday according to the Junta de Andalucía. A cancellable booking made early can be adjusted later with the PDF in hand.

How do you read a line of the programme?
Each brotherhood takes up one line with four fixed times: leaving its church, passing the Campana, entering the Cathedral and returning to its church, sometimes split between the leading cross (cruz de guía) and the palio. In the day-by-day documents, the streets in order and the passing time at the checkpoints appear between those times.
An example from 2026: La Borriquita, leaving at 14:15, the Campana at 15:35, the Cathedral at 17:00 and the palio back in at 22:00 according to El País. And one of the long brotherhoods: El Cerro, leaving at 11:40, the Campana at 16:40, the Cathedral at 18:05 and back in between 1:00 and 2:00. Between departure and return, 8 to 10 hours go by.
The reading trick no guide explains: the time that matters to a spectator is not the departure but the passing time in the street you have chosen, and you need to be there well before, because the official route is closed off two hours before the brotherhood passes. The 2026 itinerary says which streets are best to stand in.
What about the 2025, 2024 and 2023 programmes?
The 2025 ones, from 13 to 20 April 2025, are still available: the Council's official 2025 list, the city's PDF of maps, times and planned routes dated 11 April 2025, and a second Visita Sevilla PDF in Spanish. There is also a printed guide programme published by an insurance company, uploaded to Scribd in March 2026.
The 2024 ones, from 24 to 31 March 2024, survive in the Council's 2024 list and in that year's official Visita Sevilla guide, as well as the press programmes of 20minutos and El Confidencial, which were updated afterwards and are therefore hard to date.
For 2023, from 2 to 9 April 2023, the sources consulted link no comparable PDF programme. A 2023 list did exist, but it is not referenced where the 2024 to 2026 ones are published today. It is a gap in the record, and this page does not fill it with an invented link.
Where can you get a printed programme, and at what price?
As well as the PDFs, printed pocket programmes are handed out every year, often linked to a newspaper or an insurance company. No source publishes an official price or a central sales channel: they turn up at kiosks, brotherhood headquarters and the sponsor's outlets, with no announced date.
It is the same gap as with the official poster, of which the Council gives away free copies until they run out. The 2026 poster page explains how to get one and how many copies of the 2024 poster were printed.

- Crowd numbers by street and by hour. The programmes give passing times; crowd density is in none of them. The figures that exist are daily totals: in 2024, Holy Tuesday drew more than 270,000 people to the centre according to the municipal cameras.
- The price and number of chairs and boxes on the Carrera Oficial for 2026.
- Processions called off because of rain: the programmes say "planned", and decisions are announced on the spot with no record.
- The Cathedral's visiting hours during the week.
- An economic impact figure for Seville: the Junta gives 1.02 million visitors, 22.3% more than in 2024 for the whole of Andalusia in 2025, with no breakdown by city.
The official programme is the best-made document of the whole of Holy Week, and also the most silent about what things cost. The general guide gathers what has been published on prices and crowds, and the day-by-day programme page sums up what goes out each day.
With the page for your chosen day, the hotel's neighbourhood takes a minute to decide: the one where the brotherhood you want to see leaves or returns, not the Carrera Oficial, where everyone tries to be at once.
